A good place to start is to measure what you currently have and start from there.
Use a tape measure to calculate hanging rail and drawer width, and don't forget to measure garment length too as double hanging wardrobes can be a great space saver.

Its therefore tempting to fill a room with as much storage as possible but also try to maintain lots of natural light from windows and doorways.
