The Swan chair was designed in 1956 by critically acclaimed Danish architect Arne Jacobsen. The chair was originally made for the lobby area of the new Royal Hotel building in Copenhagen which Jacobsen had been commissioned to design. Very quickly the chair was very popular and has remained so ever since, largely due to its timeless balanced design and practicality. Our high quality replica is constructed from a moulded fibreglass frame with padded cushioning covered in a classic red wool mix fabric - just as the original.
